bannertales.org.uk is an educational site detailing the strong mining heritage in the North East of England. Developed with support from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Gateshead Libraries, Tyne and Wear Archives and Andrew Clark of Summerhill Books.

Banner Tales is a rich repository of local history for the people of Greenside, West Gateshead.
